Evergreen Building
Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
Designed 1978
Overlooking the Vancouver waterfront, the building design takes maximum advantage of views to Stanley Park and the
North Shore mountains. The programmed space includes a prestige law firm and general professional tenant office
space. In addition, the building also contains commercial space, parking, a recreation/heath club, several unique
corporate-type residential suites, and landscaped view balconies.
The fast-track design and construction process included cost control input from the general and sub-contractors to
achieve maximum cost effective design. A guaranteed building cost was established during the preliminary design stage
as well as a twelve month construction schedule.
The floor plans and offset elevator cores provide flexible yet unique office floor layout options. The building massing
responds to views and general urban design site factors resulting in a unique and competitive speculative office/mixed-
use building design.
